“If you don't like how things are, change it! You're not a tree.” - Jim Rohn
Jim Rohn has been a huge influence in my life, especially when facing challenges. All of his books, philosophies and teachings are rooted in biblical studies so it's backed by truth, not just what "might work."
The reason it's one of my favorite quotes is because it sums up so many lessons in one sentence.
No matter WHAT challenge you are facing, you have the power to learn from it.
No matter WHO challenges you, you have the power to not associate with them.
No matter WHERE you are now, you have the ability to go wherever you want to.
Since we are not a tree rooted in one place our potential is only limited by what we believe to be true. If we want things to change, we need to change FIRST!
The question many have is: how do I change?
The answer is easy: do the opposite of what you WANT to do.
If you are scared, be brave.
If you are angry, give more love.
If you are confused, ask for clarity.
If you are stuck, take action.
If you are sad, do something that makes you happy.
Make commitment to not be a tree. Move forward and make it happen!
